On the 18th of June 1815, Napoleon prepared to attack Wellington with the bulk of his army... Napoleon launched a succession of attacks upon Wellington's position, to be repelled time and again by the stalwart Anglo-German troops;... Prussian pressure was such that Napoleon had to form a defensive flank... when the final attack of the Imperial Guard was repelled, the French Army collapsed in disorder...
